About the role
We are hiring a Credentialing Specialist to manage provider enrollment and recredentialing from start to finish. This is the work that decides whether a practice can bill a payer at all, and it is one of the highest-value services we offer. You will own applications, follow them through payer review, keep CAQH profiles current, and make sure nothing lapses quietly.
What you will do
- Prepare and submit payer enrollment and recredentialing applications, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial plans
- Maintain CAQH provider profiles and complete attestations on schedule
- Track NPI, PTAN and payer-specific provider identifiers through the full lifecycle
- Follow up with payers on pending applications and escalate stalled files
- Set up and manage EDI, ERA and EFT enrollments and clearinghouse connections
- Build and maintain a recredentialing calendar so no provider date is missed
- Keep a documented status for every application, provider and payer
- Coordinate with providers’ offices to collect and verify required documents
What we are looking for
- 1–3+ years of credentialing, payer enrollment or provider onboarding experience
- Working knowledge of CAQH ProView, NPPES, PECOS and payer portal workflows
- Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid enrollment processes
- Exceptional organization and follow-through on long-cycle tasks
- Strong written English for applications, follow-ups and payer correspondence
- Discretion with sensitive provider and business documentation
Nice to have
- Experience with EDI, ERA and EFT enrollment setup
- Multi-state Medicaid enrollment experience
- Credentialing certification (CPCS or equivalent)
Compensation
Compensation is set based on experience and discussed on the first call.
